California Dreaming

Day One

Three flew from Cleveland and one from Phoenix to Los Angeles, the reason? To visit family. It had been years since these four traveled there. The four are my dad, nephew, hubby, and me. Funerals, weddings, Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk, and other events drew them there in the past. When I was younger we drove or flew out there simply for vacation to be with family numerous times. My mom’s sister lived there years ago, gave birth to ten children thus establishing a strong family line there. My eighty-nine year old Dad wanted this trip, so here we are.

Inspite of flying five hours, driving in Los Angeles traffic (which I love to do), eating late, and tiredness, we did much on the first day.

Our next National Park was checked off, Channel Islands. We only had time to roam the visitor center and the grounds around it. Maybe God will enable a visit to the islands three to four boat hours away out into the Pacific. It was merely cool to add the park to our visited list.

After checking into our timeshare resort, Club Wyndham Anaheim, we dined at Bubba Gump a few doors away. Dan and I went for a walk of the area nearby because it was Day twenty-three of training for Stress Protest for me. Walking somewhere new was energizing. We ended the day with our first family interaction. Our niece and her family came to the resort to hang out.

Now it is time for me to hit the sack. It is late and my body is still on Eastern Time and is asking why I am still up.
